the most difficult thing for me this year is was finding the motivation to get to work. Once I was able to stop getting caught up in all the litle details and just start getting stuff done I had a lot of fun and made some cool shit. Most of my paintings tured out to be more about the background then the bridge. this was most likely becaus I didn't really like my concentration to begin with. my advice to future students is to come up with a concentration that you are excited to paint. but the most inportant thing is whether you like it or not just do it.

time to get this done

If you haven’t noticed concentration peaces have been low quality and a little repetitive in the last few critiques. I think its time that I stepped out of the box I have some ideas but I don’t know if they will match the rest of my pieces. The first one is to have a painting of people walking across a natural bridge like a log ling across a river or stream. The second idea is to paint the bottom of a bridge I have a good pitcher of one and I think it will work well.

February critique

My concentration is to use the structural aspects of bridges to show the principles of art. I try to realisticly depicted how the bridges interact with there surroundings and create the illusion of depth. I use lines and shapes to create those illusions.
